The Counselor Advancement Program (CAP) is a three-month-long workshop offered by Wespine Study Center to assist those interested in serving as Counselors at the Wespine SuperCamp and/or the YSI Leadership Camp to prepare for that opportunity.

The Wespine SuperCamp is an action-packed summer (day-only) camp for entering 4th through 7th grade boys. Leadership Camp is an action-packed, one-week overnight summer camp for entering 6th – 8th grade boys.

Both camps aim to help boys develop the skills and virtues necessary to be leaders. In order to achieve this goal, the staff is crucial. Above all, counselors who stand out in maturity, industriousness, spirit of service, and desire to grow in personal character are needed.

Wespine works very closely with YSI Staff to make Leadership Camp a success. While participating in the workshop is no guarantee that a candidate will secure a spot as a counselor in either camp, successful completion of the program will likely be a great aid to one’s application.
