ABOUT THE ELEMENTS
The Elements is a five-year program that provides today’s young men with the elements of professional and personal excellence they need to be the leaders of society tomorrow. Through a curriculum of classes, one-on-one mentoring, interactive sessions, and career presentations by successful professionals, The Elements challenges students not only to excel academically, but also to stand out among their peers in character, breadth of vision, and a magnanimous spirit of service.
TOMORROW’s LEADERS
THE BIG PICTURE SEMINAR
(Grades 8 - 9)
Students need to establish the right priorities early in high school. Each session includes a talk on key choices students will need to make that affect their priorities, followed by an interactive activity that stresses analytical thinking, communication, and teamwork.

THE PROFESSIONAL SEMINAR
(Grades 10 - 11)
High school is the time to begin thinking about career interests. Your interests will affect the college and the major you choose. It is also the time to develop the habits of effective speaking and critical thinking that are essential for success in college and the workplace. Each career presentation is followed by an interactive activity and a short talk on character development.
FILLING THE GAPS
(Grades 12)
The college experience offers young people a unique opportunity to challenge, develop, and nurture a deeper understanding of ideas through study and dialog, not only with their professors but among their peers. The Elements’ Senior seminar anticipates these intellectual exchanges by presenting a series of basic intellectual concepts any mature person should take seriously (e.g. truth, certainty, moral goodness, freedom, rights, the soul, faith and science) and providing a framework for their discussion and evaluation.
MENTORING
MENTORING
Each student is assigned a mentor who will meet individually with him between the monthly sessions. The mentor guides the student in applying the principles taught in class and helps him set goals that are important and practical. Mentoring sessions last 45 minutes and will take place at Wespine.
